As an effective supervisor, one must possess the ability to train and shape the next generation of behavior analytic practitioners from those seeking to become a credentialed ABA practitioner (like a BCBA or BCaBA) to individuals who are credentialed as a BCaBA or RBT and require ongoing supervision. One way to accomplish this is by obtaining ongoing professional development in the area of supervision to maximize your ability to effectively support your supervisees in becoming a Minimal Viable Clinician (MVC).
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the scope of practice of multi-tiered credentialed professionals (i.e. BCBA-D, BCBA, BCaBA, RBTs)
- Define and list methods of ensuring ongoing professional development as a supervisor
- Define and list methods of ensuring ongoing professional development for your supervisees.
